As founder and director of Business on Purpose, LLC, Amy Powell works with businesses to achieve measurable breakthroughs in organizational culture using her whole-system approach to culture change. She draws on Conscious Capitalism principles in her work, and uses the Barrett Culture Transformation Tools to support and measure progress.
She coaches senior leaders in organizations, working closely with them as they make the transition from traditional leadership approaches to new, more conscious approaches. Clients learn to center their leadership around purpose, with deep care for customers, teams, and external stakeholders.
Amy is co-founder and Chair of Conscious Capitalism Portland, a newly establish nonprofit organization. While in Australia, she co-founded Conscious Capitalism Australia, which was the first group in the world to be given full Chapter status. As part of a small volunteer team, Amy built the chapter into a dynamic, active community of nearly 2000 people. Conscious Capitalism Australia’s public events featured some of Australia’s most admired companies, including Patagonia, Unilever, and Aesop.
She is one of the authors of the Conscious Capitalism Activator, which provides diagnostics, guidelines, and resources for incorporating the principles of Conscious Capitalism into businesses that want to become a force for good in the world.
Amy is passionate about the role of women in leadership. She designed Women on the Move, a program which is in its 9th year of helping mid-level women managers to aspire to growth, achievement and success. See a list of testimonials from past program participants here.
